I am very happy with my new bike. I wanted to buy a new bike for a while and the Staff at Bike Beat in Virginia Beach really where great, they got me on the right bike even when I was looking at bikes much more expensive than the one they recomended I should try. I am delighted with my new bike and glad I bought at such a great shop with down to earth people.

Comments:

Comfortable, good brakes, good range of gears for hills. A little heavy, but not too heavy. Wouldn't recommend it for too much off road use, it's ok for relatively smooth trails, the lightest trail use, nothing seriously hardcore. Really great for neighborhood riding and paved bike paths. Could be great for commuting too.

I bought my bike [...].He steered me to the Navigator 3.0 for it's quality components and comfortable ride. I used it mostly everyday to commute to work, seven miles round trip. I also use it on weekends on the Delaware-Raritan Canal bike path where I average twenty-five miles a day. I bought the Bontreger snap on fenders that make this an all weather performer.I may move up to a hybrid in the future but for right now the Navigator 3.0 suits me just fine. I've called Tom Walters a few times to relate my progress and thank him for steering me to a great bike.

        Comments:

I first bought a trek 7100, but found it was not right for me, recovering from long term injuries. Even city roads slopes become a challenge. So I exchanged it for the Navigator 3.0, and it fit me like a glove. Stable, strong, agile, smooth rolling 60tpi tires, great seating position for someone like me who is not in a hurry, but it will go about 35mph. Suits my mix of riding on rough or smooth pavement, gravel, sand, boardwalks with spaces, and hills. I categorized myself as a casual cyclist, but that will change to avid as my body is restored. For me it is like driving a sportscar instead of a sedan.

          Comments:

I bought this bike for excercise. I am 65 and recovering from 5 yr old injuries - back shoulder neck. I bought a 7100 which did not climb hills well and didn't feel as stable. The Nav 3 immediately made me feel I could do anything fearlessly, it is so stable and easy to ride. The saddle already has gel, and with handlebars and seat adjustments I can find a perfect set up for me. Color choice could be better but who cares with a bike like this. With 24 gears and the high quality components, even I can climb any hill I encounter in the city, or on trails, and there is no ground that I have to avoid. If the 7100 hybrid is like a Taurus, the Nav 3 is like a Shelby GT.

I ride about 10 miles a day on this bike, in town and on rural bike paths and gravel. It's great. I have excellent control and stability. I would recommend this to anyone who just wants to enjoy themselves outside on their bike and also get a great workout.

I bought this bike about one month ago, and WOW!! I love it! I ride it around town on the suburban streets, as well as local bike paths. It has been a great kick-start for my health! Best "exercise" I ever did. I have yet to find anything negative to say about it. AWESOME!!
