Product Details

Bontrager R2 Road Tire (23c)

Bontrager's R2 Road is a super tire for training rides and all your other riding. The round profile and lightly textured tread offer low rolling resistance and grip like glue in the corners while the lightweight, high-density casing provides a supple ride and also has sub-tread protection against flat tires. Equally impressive, Bontrager's unique aero wing design improves airflow, so the R2 actually saves you energy on every ride, too!

      Comments:

Put these on my Trek Madone 5.2 about 4 yrs ago. Put about 1000 miles per yr on bike. Finally had to replace because I started to see threads. They outlasted my expectations. And replacing with same.

This tire corners with confidence. There tougher tires, faster tires, but they are all pricier. Great bang for the buck.

          Comments:

R2 came equipped on Domane 4.5 bought from my LBS. On first ride (dry pavement) rear wheel slid out as soon as brakes applied. Same results subsequently ; big dissappointment with tires and TREK.
