Comments: Made the switch to the Superfly from a few years on a Fisher HIFI Pro (basically the same bike, only aluminum). I'm 6'4" and decided to downsize frames from a 23" to a 21" and upgrade to carbon. All good choices. The new bikes come with less sweep on the hadlebar, which I like, and the lightness of a the frame (for a 21") is really noticeable. On rough trails the bike feels more solid than I thought it would. The new oversized hubs/ skewers definitely help with the stability of the bike. Especially as a bigger guy who likes to use that momentum down hills. I wish it came with better tires and handlebar grips. I got a rip in my tire after only a few rides and the grips wear fast.

Comments: I just purchased the bike a week ago and have already logged over 100 miles on it. I felt comfortable immediately and took very little effort to get the adjustments and settings right for me. I was riding a 2009 Top Fuel prior to this and I have to say that the SF100 is a much faster and more comfortable overall bike.At the time of purchase, I upgraded the components to XO and the wheels to Race X Lites. Dropped almost 2lbs. This thing is a rocket that flies over everthing in its path. The only bummer is the rear suspension has developed a slight creak noise. Im looking for a remedy but that wont keep me from enjoying this machine. I absolutely love it.

Comments: The Superfly 100 feels so smooth, I'm able to go faster. The headtube angle is slighter slacker than purebred race bikes making me more confident on descents. The big wheels eat up terrain and kept me fresher, longer. It's a Trek so the suspension is dialed. The wheels are fairly bombproof but heavy. I would like it be be a little lighter. Great bike for lots of fun!

Comments: I've ridden and raced a 2011 Superfly Elite for a full season now and it's easily the best bike I've ever owned. I think the bike strikes a great balance between crisp, XC handling and all-day riding comfort and performance. The bike is lightweight and stiff and was a great race stead for me this season - performing exceptionally well in longer races with lots of technical singletrack. With its 29" wheels and bigger tires, I can also keep up just fine with my friends on their big-travel freeride bikes. My only complaints have been the SRAM X0 brakes (constantly adjusting) and an occasional creak that develops in the ABP, which can be fixed with a good cleaning and lube. The Superfly has been the ideal all-around ride for me this year and I'm looking forward to another season on it next year.

Comments: I use this bike for XC riding, lots of rough gravel riding, and XC racing. I really like the suspension lock outs, my only wish would be a handlebar mount for them. I don't need a brain adjusting my suspension, I want the ability to lock it out completely. The bike feels light and nimble, and the suspension is just about perfect for fast riding. You ride over things that you might tense up for on a hard tail, but they just pass under you. At the end of a ride it's amazing how far the suspension has traveled via the indicator, but it never felt like it was doing that much work. The 29er wheels roll nicely over things. The tires that come with it are racing only, I'd buy another set right away for serious trail work. This bike can perform both roles, racer and AM bike if you want. I am running the 29.1 tires tubeless, so far so good. Just added rim strips and the valves. The not so great, hmmm. The cockpit is a bit short. After you adjust everything else you may want either a longer stem, or a setback seat post depending on how the bike fits you. The one(!) water bottle mount is tight if you use longer 24 oz bottles, you can bump the rear shock lockout taking the bottle in and out. Use a short cage. It didn't come with rim strips or the valves, or tubeless tires. Who runs tubes anyway anymore?

Comments: I have purchased Gary Fisher bikes for the past 10 years and have had 3 29ers and this bike is by far the best bike I have ever ridden/raced (2011 Superfly 100 Elite). Its super fast and I have upgraded everything except the frame and its lighter than most 26er race bikes. The rear end is very stiff compared to previous years. I weigh over 200 pounds and I have destroyed other 29ers. Not this baby. Best money ever spent on a bike.

Comments: Great Bike after all of the Bontrager Components were replaced. After purchasing bike the 100/Elite, all Bontrager parts did not work well from wheel/set, to seat post. Lost 1.5 pounds on bike by replacing Bontrager equipment, you would think that a [$] bike would have top of the line equipment. The seat post was the worst. Would suggest buying frame and building with better components. Even the Bontrager skewers bent in first two weeks. I have never had a skewer bend before in twenty years of Mt. Biking.

Comments: Just had my first ride on this wonder of a bike. It is light and very fast. The 10 speed shifts very smoothly and it is very efficient. This is my 1st 29er and I love it. It rolls over stuff like butter. The roots and rocks are non-existent with this bike. I would recommend this bike to anyone. If you love the saddle you should give this one a ride and you will fall in love.
