'11 Trek 8000 Disc

Light, fast and able to make your buddies nervous, Trek's 8000 Disc is the perfect rig for scorching the trail! Its super-strong Trek Red Series aluminum frame is teamed with a 100mm Fox fork for awesome handling, precise tracking and flexible tunability. The fast frame is powered by a 10-speed Shimano SLX/XT drivetrain with plenty of gears to get you up any grade, while Avid's Elixir discs offer pinpoint braking on the way back down. Plus, the Bontrager wheels with grippy XR3 tires spin up to speed fast and let you rail the corners and the Bontrager components are ready for the dirt. Ride it, race it, win on it, repeat.

    I just got into mountain biking coming from racing at the elite level in road triathlons. I bought this bike after using an old Fisher 29er. I was looking for something a bit more nimble and quicker accelerating and I certainly found it! This bike is lighter, faster, and more nimble than anything I've ever ridden. It is responsive and inspires quite a lot of confidence in descending and on loose terrain. For the price, you really can't beat this bike! Super components and lightweight performance in a bike you can train and race on. Soooo pleased with my purchase!!!

    VERY FAST BIKE, THE ALPHA RED FRAME IS SO LITE AND VERY STRONG. AT FIRST WHEN MY BIKE ARRIVED, I HAD TO ORDER MY SIZE. THE FRONT FORK WOULD NOT HOLD THE LOCK OUT. IT KEPT GOING DOWN 3INCHIS JUST BY SITTING ON IT. IM 180LBS, THE SALESMAN CONTACTED TREK AND THE FOUND THE FRONT FORK TO BE FAULTY. THEY SENT ANOTHER FORK A REBA TEAM TO MY SURPRISE. AND THE BIKE IS JUST AWESOME.ITS SO FAST ON PAVEMENT I HAVN'T BEEN ON MY ROAD BIKE AT ALL THIS SUMMER. MINE IS A 2010 MODEL I JUST LOVE IT. IF THEY MAKE A COOL COLOR LIKE CANARY YELLOW OR LIME GREEN I WILL HAVE A SECOUND MODEL 8000.
