The factory replacement for SILCA Press on Disc Chucks. The 252 replace the classic SILCA 25.1 gasket after more than 20 years in the market. This unique gasket borrows from industries which require air-tight seals in the harshest of environments. The 252 gasket utilizes a high tech, full synthetic elastomer base material. It tests to a life expectancy of more than 5X the carbon filled rubber or Buna-N materials used previously. In tests with a major disc wheel manufacturer, the current SILCA Disc Wheel Adapter with 252 gasket excelled by posting a blow-off pressure of 393psi where other designs were unable to reach 120psi. Older versions of the SILCA Disc Wheel Adapter will still benefit for the new gasket, but have a lower hands-free max pressure.

Years ago while Josh was working with the Team CSC at the Dauphine Libere, he noticed one of their mechanics using the most amazing little chuck to manage the disc wheel inflation. Unlike anything he had seen before, it was all metal and used a 'lollipop' lever on the side to lock onto the valve stems in disc wheels. The mechanic explained that these were made in Japan and were coveted by all the Euro-Pro mechanics due to their scarcity. We've addressed the things that frustrate us with conventional multi-tools, while keeping the layout that fits conveniently in the SILCA EOLO Wallet or MATTONE. The mid-length tool design is long enough to provide access to recessed fasteners, but short enough not to experience twist or damage under moderate torque as can happen on longer tools. All tools are forged rather than bent from hex stock. While this method of construction is more expensive, the value is unquestioned during a road-side repair. Mid-length tools also allow us to position the tools within the same plane, reducing the thickness of the overall package by half. Double-chromed tools and fully stainless steel hardware and bushings guarantee a long life without corrosion (the number 1 killer of multi-tools is corrosion). Named after the Italian word for Brick, Mattone is a water-resistant, ultra-compact seat bag that attaches to the rails using the BOA Closure System.  Unique zipper design allows it to be accessed while on the bike, or to open like a book when removed from the bike for easy access. Mattone is for the cyclist looking to carry a spare tube, CO2, multi-tool, and some cash in a discreet, water-resistant package. Internal divider holds ID, credit card, or cash while also protecting your tube from your multi-tool! Seat bag users fall into two categories: Seat Roll aficionados and seat bag users. Traditionally, seat bags have been simple open spaces that allowed content to jangle about, making noise and rubbing against each other. Often times a spare tube was pulled out of a seat bag to reveal it was more full of holes than the tube being replaced due to friction against a house key or multi-tool. With Mattone, we designed a layout similar to a book, where the bag can fully open to hold the tube and CO2 cartridge on one side, separated by a padded ballistic nylon 'page' separating it from the other side where you can store an inflator head, multi-tool, contact lens case, etc. The 'page' also contains a slot for a credit card, ID, money, or house key. The unique off-center Aquaguard Zipper allows the case to completely open and lay flat when off the bike, while also allowing easy access to the multi-tool and money/card slots when on the bike without risk of spilling all the contents of the bag. A high-friction Hypalon strap with BOA Closure completes the package. Originally designed in the 1950s when the Bianchi-Pirelli team requested a pump that could fit under the rear seat of the Fiat team car, the Pista pump quickly became an icon of professional team cars and mechanic workstations at 6-Day track events around the world.
